Wow, long time no post. I'm still cabbin it around downtown. I'm the one with the 20's/30's style hat, I call it my cabbie hat. Halloween is today and sadly I will not be working. Going to check out some friends' bands. I was out last night though and it was a pretty good night for me. I had some interesting rides and fun rides as well. Lots of nice costumes were already out. Lucky Lounge seemed to be having some kind of metal/rock dress up night. Slash was there, I swear I saw him.
Here's today's helpful hint for taking a pedicab: Guys, don't let your girl show you up by providing a nice tip when you offer too little. It just looks bad for you and for me. In connection with this, if you tell me you are parked one place and you end up being park somewhere else and I pedal an extra 4-6 blocks because you are "a little lost", $3 is not usually a good tip. Asking for change for a $5 still does not look good for you in front of your woman. So to the girl that kicks ass and does a pedicab driver right with a steady $10 tip.....she even gave me kisses on each cheek (not to mention pinching my ass several times throughout the ride).
Another couple ride ealier in the night got a ride and the guy was about to tip a fiver then his girl said that she'd f*#@ him if he gave me a ten. BAM deal was done. I almost asked what she'd do if he gave me a twenty but I decided it might be best if I keep my big mouth shut.
